Farmers affected by Fall Armyworm to be compensated

UPDATE: (4.10pm) The government has decided to pay a maximum of Rs 40,000 per acre to the farmers affected by the Fall Armyworm (Sena caterpillar).

Minister of Agriculture P. Harrison stated this addressing a press conference 
 



Cabinet of Ministers has approved to compensate farmers whose crops are affected by the Fall Armyworm (Sena caterpillar) plague.

Accordingly, an amount of Rs 250 million will be allocated to cover the compensation.
