Illegally transported painkillers seized in Sammanthurai

A stock of illegally transported painkillers has been seized by the crimes investigation unit of Sammanthurai police.

The police have seized 15,000 painkillers in 150 packagings.

The haul was taken into custody while inspecting a luxury bus that had been en route to Ampara.

The suspects arrested during the raid are to be produced before the court.
