Twenty including foreigners hospitalized in wasp attack

Twenty persons including foreign nationals have sustained injuries in a wasp attack near the Nine Arch Bridge in the proximity of Ella railway station.

The incident has taken place at around 1.00 p.m. this afternoon (29).

Reportedly, ten foreigners are among the injured persons.

They are currently receiving medical treatment at the Demodara Divisional Hospital and Badulla General Hospital, Ella Police said.
