Horowpathana school principal caught taking bribe

The principal of a school in Horowpathana has been arrested by officers of the Bribery Commission for allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.

The school principal in question had reportedly accepted the bribe from a parent to enroll their child into a Grade 6 class.

The suspect had requested for a bribe of Rs 10,000 to enroll the student into the school and was apprehended by officers of the bribery Commission while soliciting half of that sum.
