Indian passenger held at BIA with 1kg cocaine

An Indian national has been detained at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) along with 1kg 5g of cocaine.

The officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) attached to the BIA had detained the suspect.

The contraband was hidden inside a false bottom of the suspect’s luggage.
The detainee had arrived at the BIA from Mumbai, India.

Reportedly, the contraband is revealed to be worth over Rs 15 million.

The suspect is to be produced before the Negombo Magistrate’s court today (08).
