Woman injured in shooting at Grandpass

A woman has been injured and hospitalised following a shooting incident in the Melwatte area in Grandpass, Colombo.

The shooting was reportedly carried out by two unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle, who fled the scene after opening fire at the victim this evening (14).

According to reports, the gunmen had forcibly entered the home of the victim and carried out the shooting.

The injured woman has been identified as ‘Kudu Chooti’, the mistress of underworld figure ‘Kanjipani Imran’ who was recently arrested in Dubai along with drug kingpin ‘Makandure Madush’.

The injured woman has been admitted to the ICU of the Colombo National Hospital for treatment and is reportedly in critical condition.
