28-year-old shot and injured in Keselwatte

A person has been shot and injured at the Dam Street near Keselwatte at around 7.30 pm this evening (17).

Reportedly, two gunmen, who had arrived on a motorcycle, had opened the fire on a person who had been walking down the street, the Police Spokesperson said.

The injured 28-year-old is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

Police investigations have commenced with regard to the incident.
