‘Raina’ arrested over shooting incident

‘Raina’, an accomplice of organized crime gang member ‘Keselwatte Dinuka’, has been arrested over the shooting incident that took place at the Dam Street in Keselwatte last evening (17).

Reportedly, the arrest was made by the officers of the Special Task Force (STF).

The police have also seized 4g of heroin and a sword in possession of the suspect.

Reportedly, two gunmen, who had arrived on a motorcycle, had opened the fire on a person who had been walking down the street last evening.

The injured 28-year-old was subsequently hospitalized and he is currently receiving medical treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.

The police have uncovered that the injured is an accomplice of the organized crime gang leader ‘Kotahena Chana’.
