222 drunk drivers arrested in Western Province

Sri Lanka Police said that 222 drivers were arrested on drunk driving charges during a special police operation in the Western Province early this morning (9).

The Police Spokesman SP Ruwan Gunasekara said that the special operation to nab motorists driving under the influence of alcohol was carried out from 12.00 a.m. to 5.00 a.m. today covering the entire province.
