Cabinet approval has been granted to declare April 15 (Monday) as a Government Holiday.

The relevant Cabinet paper was submitted by Minister of Home Affairs Vajira Abeywardena and was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

April 15 has been declared as a Government Holiday due to the Sinhala and Tamil New Year holidays (April 13 & 14) falling on the weekend this year.
