Over 10,000 traffic cases filed during police operation

The Police Media Unit says that a total of 10,170 cases were filed for various traffic offences during a special island-wide police operation carried out within 24 hours.

The special operation was carried out from 6.00 a.m. yesterday (11) to 6.00 a.m. today covering the entire island.

During the operation, police arrested 245 persons for driving under the influence of alcohol.
