Urgent search missions in Colombo

The police have set up roadblocks within the Colombo city and are currently searching suspicious vehicles and individuals, says the Police Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara.

The police stated that roads within the city are not closed.

The public is urged to cooperate with the security forces for ongoing search operations without causing unnecessary panic.

SP Gunasekara further stated that 16 persons were arrested in island-wide search operations as of last night (24).

Meanwhile, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) announced today (25) that the use of all drones and unmanned aircraft within Sri Lankan airspace has been prohibited with immediate effect until further notice.
