Police curfew in Chilaw

Police curfew has been imposed in the Chilaw area with immediate effect, stated Ada Derana reporter.

The curfew has been imposed to control a tense situation that occurred in the town of Chilaw.

Accordingly, police curfew will be in effect until 6 am tomorrow.

A tense situation had occurred in the Chilaw town when the residents of the area had objected a social media post to incite disunity among races.

According to the police, the person who made the post has been arrested over the incident.
