TID brought under purview of CID

The Terrorism Investigation Division (TID) has been brought under the purview of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), the Police Spokesperson SP Ruwan Gunasekara said.
The TID was previously held under the direct supervision of the Inspector General of Police.
This step was taken due to service requirements, the Police Spokesperson added.
