Navy recovers banned fishing nets in Ullackalie lagoon area

A group of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command recovered several banned fishing nets during a patrol carried out in Ullackalie lagoon area, this morning (01).

Accordingly, twenty-five (25) banned nets, each was about 80 feet in length, were recovered and they were handed over to the Assistant Director of Fisheries in Trincomalee for onward action.
