Narammala PS Deputy Chairman arrested for assaulting constable

A Pradeshiya Sabha Deputy Chairman has been arrested over an assault on a Police officer, stated the Police Media Spokesperson.

Reportedly, the Deputy Chairman of the Narammala Pradeshiya Sabha had assaulted a constable at the Narammala Police Station in this manner.

The assaulted police constable is currently hospitalized for treatment.

Further investigations are carried out on the matter.
