Cabinet nod for amending Penal Code

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the proposal to amend some of the terms and words in the Penal Code Ordinance.
The Amendment Bill drafted by the legal draftsman was presented to the Cabinet by Minister of Justice and Prison Reforms Thalatha Atukorale.
The Cabinet expects to consequently get the approval of the Parliament for the amendments to the Penal Code.
