GMOA to launch token strike tomorrow

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has decided to launch a 24-hour token strike island-wide.

The strike will accordingly commence at 8.00 am tomorrow (22), the Secretary of GMOA Dr. Haritha Aluthge said.

Executive Committee Member of GMOA Dr. Prasad Colombage said the strike action would not be launched at several selected hospitals.

The strike is focused on the multiple issues including the medicinal drug shortage, Dr. Colombage said further speaking to Ada Derana.
