Special Cabinet meeting called at 6pm

A special Cabinet meeting has been called at 6.00 p.m. this evening at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo.

All Cabinet ministers have been notified to attend the meeting today (27), however exact reason for the urgent meeting is yet to be revealed. 

Deputy Minister of Transport Ashoka Abeysinghe, speaking at a press conference earlier today, had stated that the ongoing railway strike is also expected to discussed at the Cabinet meeting this evening.
