Rajaratnam appointed Acting Solicitor General

Senior Additional Solicitor General Sanjay Rajaratnam has been appointed as the Acting Solicitor General with immediate effect, says the Attorney General’s Department.

Attorney General’s Coordinating Officer State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said the Public Service Commission informed of the decision regarding the appointment.

Rajaratnam’s appointment came about as Solicitor General Dilrukshi Dias Wickremasinghe was interdicted on the 24th of September, pending an inquiry into her alleged phone conversation with Avant-Garde chairman Nissanka Senadhipathi.
