Vote on Account passed with amendments

The Vote on Account for the state expenditure for the first four months of 2020 has been passed in the Parliament with amendments.

The Vote on Account was presented to the Parliament by Minister of Finance Mangala Samaraweera, this morning (23).

Reportedly, the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna (JVP) voiced their objections to the Account.

Accordingly, the Vote on Account for the period between 01 January 2020 and 31 April 2020, was passed at the parliament with the approval for a Rs 1474 billion to be utilized as state expenditure.
