Flight en route to BIA diverted to Mattala

A passenger flight en route to the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has been diverted to the Mattala International Airport (MIA).

Sri Lankan Airlines flight, UL 192, arriving in Colombo from Delhi, India has been diverted to Mattala in this manner.

This has been taken as a safety measure due to the prevailing adverse weather conditions at Katunayake.
