Lotus road closed; tear gas and water cannons fired at IUSF

The Lotus Road in Colombo has been temporarily closed off due to a protest, stated Ada Derana reporter.

The protest has been organized by the members of the Inter-University Students’ federation (IUSF).

Reportedly, the Police have fired tear gas and water cannons at the protesters to disperse the crowd.
