Brigadier Suresh Sallay appointed Head of state intelligence

Brigadier Suresh Sallay has been appointed as the new Director of the State Intelligence Service (SIS), stated the Ministry of Defense.

Reportedly, this would be the first instance a military officer has been appointed as the head of SIS.

Meanwhile, former Director of SIS Senior DIG Nilantha Jayawardena has been assigned to the Police Headquarters.
