Inmate shot, injured by another inmate inside prison

An inmate Wariyapola Prison has gunned down and injured another inmate at around 12.00 p.m., says the Department of Prisons.
The wounded inmate has been admitted to the Kurunegala Hospital, Ada Derana correspondent said.
According to reports, the inmate responsible for the shooting had used a handgun.
The two inmates involved in the incident had reportedly been convicted for drug offences.
