Fire breaks out at Hyde Park

A fire has broken out in an office building located at Hyde Park in Colombo while firefighters are currently attempting to douse the flames, according to the Colombo Fire Brigade.

Reportedly, a stock of carpets in the privately-owned building had caught fire resulting in the emission of a lot of smoke which is visible in the area.

Four fire trucks have been sent to the location in order to extinguish the flames, the Fire Brigade said.
