Fire at Madampitiya garbage dump

UPDATE: The fire that erupted at the Madampitiya garbage dump this afternoon has been doused.

 

A fire has broken out at the Madampitiya garbage dump in Grandpass, stated the Colombo Fire Brigade.

Reportedly, 4 fire engines have been dispatched to douse the flames.

The incident has taken place this afternoon.
