Immigration and Emigration Dept. assigned under Chamal

The Department of Immigration and Emigration has been brought under the purview of the State Ministry of Defense.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has issued the relevant gazette notification recently.

Previously, the Immigration and Emigration Department was under the Ministry of Defense.

Here onwards, the Department will be assigned under State Minister of Defense Chamal Rajapaksa.
