Sri Lanka explores enhancing investment opportunities within Commonwealth

Lord Marland, the Chairman of the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council, met Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday (15) Colombo.

Their discussion was focused on enhancing business and investment opportunities for Sri Lanka within the Commonwealth.

“There is a lot of bridge-building that can be done,” Lord Marland has said.

They have also discussed Sri Lankan representation at the Commonwealth Business Forum, scheduled to take place in Rwanda in June. Lord Marland has invited the prime minister to speak at the Forum.

Lord Marland conveyed to PM Rajapaksa the best wishes from his British counterpart Boris Johnson.
