Heavy traffic on 120 bus route due to fire

Heavy traffic congestion is reported from the Colombo-Horana (120) bus route due to a fire in Piliyandala.

A chemical warehouse of a paint factory in Wewara-Piliyandala had erupted in a fire this morning (24).

Fire trucks of the Moratuwa and Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia Municipal Councils had promptly arrived at the scene and the fire is currently under control, according to the Police.

Two fire trucks belonging to the Kesbewa and Boralesgamuwa Electricity Board had also arrived at the scene.

However, no injuries or harm to persons have been reported from the incident.

The cause of the fire has not been determined as of yet.

Piliyandala Police have launched further investigations into the matter.
