The National Action Committee, which was set up by the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka, is scheduled to convene this evening (25).

The meeting chaired by Minister of Healthcare and Indigenous Medical Services, Pavithra Wanniarachchi will be held at the ministry at 6.00 pm.

The 22-member National Action Committee to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Sri Lanka held its first meeting on the 27th of January.

Today’s meeting will be centred on the rapid spread of COVID-19 in Italy and Korea where a large number of Sri Lankan immigrants reside.

The members will put more focus on the measures that should be taken by tourists and locals arriving in the island from these two countries as well as Sri Lankans residing there.
