Rohana Beddage approved as new Ambassador to Maldives

The Parliamentary Committee on High Posts has granted its approval to appoint veteran musician Rohana Beddage as the Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Maldives.

The Department of Communications issuing a statement today (28), stated that the Committee on High Posts approved the proposal tabled by the government.

The Committee on High Posts, chaired by Speaker of Parliament Karu Jayasuriya convened today and the veteran musician was called to the meeting.

Former Ministers John Amaratunga, Rauff Hakeem and Parliamentarians D. Siddarthan, Eran Wickremeratne and M.A. Sumanthiran attended the meeting.
