137 Sri Lankans in South Korea arrive in the country

The number of passengers arriving in Sri Lanka from South Korea has risen sharply due to the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) in South Korea.

Reportedly, 137 Sri Lankans have arrived in the country from South Korea this morning alone (01).

However, all passengers arriving from South Korea are subjected to a special medical checkup for infections of the coronavirus.

Meanwhile, two passengers who indicated high body temperatures have been admitted to the Negombo Hospital.

When Ada Derana inquired Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Korea Dr. A. Saj U. Mendis stated no Sri Lankan in South Korea has been reported as infected with the coronavirus.

The Embassy stated that the Sri Lankan Embassy will be on alert for Sri Lankans throughout the 24 hours.
