Special media brief of National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19

A special media conference by the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) will take place at 4.30 pm today (17).
This would be the inaugural media briefing of the Operation Center established on the guidelines given by the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
The Operations Center is established with the objective of centralizing, expediting and implementing all necessary preventive and containing measures against the transmission of COVID-19 pandemic.
This Centre is headed by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
