No new COVID-19 cases reported for second consecutive day

Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi says that as of 4.45 p.m. today (26), there have been no new Coronavirus positive patients identified in the country within the day.

 

Accordingly, Sri Lanka has thus far reported two consecutive days of no new local coronavirus cases.

 

In the meantime, a total of seven patients who had tested as positive for COVID-19 in Sri Lanka have recovered completely and discharged from hospital, Ministry of Health reported earlier today.

 

As per the situation report issued by the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry earlier today (26), the last confirmed patient was identified on Tuesday.

 

Accordingly, a total of 102 coronavirus-infected persons was been diagnosed in Sri Lanka so far. 

 

With the recovery of these seven COVID-19 patients, Sri Lanka’s tally of positive cases now stands at 95.

 

In the meantime, three patients who are being treated at the IDH have been transferred to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
