The Ministry of Health and the Postal Department of Sri Lanka have jointly arranged a programme to distribute medicine for those who are getting treatment from government hospitals and have not enough medicine for their daily use.

The correct name, address, clinic number and telephone number are essential to distribute medicine to the doorstep of the patient, Director General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said in a press release.

Hence, clinic patients are requested to contact the hospital they are registered with and update the aforementioned details at the earliest possible. The hospital staff will prepare the required medicines and deliver them via post regularly during the curfew period.

The clinic patients can inform these details to the Grama Niladhari or the Public Health Midwife in their respective residential areas, who are tasked with informing them to the relevant hospitals.
