Second patient who died of COVID-19 cremated

The funeral of the second person in Sri Lanka who died of the coronavirus was carried out at midnight yesterday (30).

The deceased was cremated at the public cemetery of the Negombo Municipal Council, according to Ada Derana reporter.

Officers of the Negombo District General Hospital, Kochchikade Police Station and Public Health Inspectors of the area were present at the cremation.

According to the Quarantine Act, two relatives can attend the funeral of the deceased. However, no relatives of the deceased patient had been present at the funeral, Ada Derana reporter said.
