Minister of Education Dullas Alahapperuma says no decision has been taken on postponing the 2020 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination.

He made this observation during a press briefing today at the Department of Government Information, in response to false reports published on electronic media and social media.

He stated that students preparing to face the 2020 Advance Level examination should not have any doubts with regard to this and it should not interfere with their studies.

The Education Minister also stated that steps are being taken to release the results of the G.C.E. Ordinary Level examination before April 30.

Meanwhile minister Bandula Gunawardena told reporters that the government is planning on setting up a television channel dedicated for education, in order to help students catch up with their educational activities which were disrupted due to the prevailing situation.
