COVID-19 recoveries from Navy hike to 293

Ten more naval personnel who were confirmed to have contracted the COVID-19 have made complete recoveries from the virus, Sri Lanka Navy said.

Accordingly, a total of 293 naval personnel have recovered from the disease so far.

These discharged navy men will be kept under quarantine for another 14 days in compliance with the healthcare regulations.

The total number of coronavirus cases reported in Sri Lanka is at 1,089.

Currently, 420 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the country, as per the Epidemiology Unit.

Meanwhile, 660 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital upon complete recovery from the illness.

Sri Lanka has recorded nine fatalities from the virus.
