The Meteorology Department forecasts heavy falls above 100 mm at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, and Southern provinces particularly along the western slopes of the central hills.

Showers or thundershowers will also occur at a few places in Uva, Eastern, and Northern provinces.
