CSE extends trading hours

Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) announced that its trading hours will be extended till 2.30 pm from tomorrow (May 26) onwards.

The decision had been taken consequent to the announcement made by the government that the curfew will be effective only between 10 pm to 4 am daily in all districts with effect from May 26.

CSE stated that considering the requests made by the industry stakeholders the CSE has decided to extend the trade hours.

Accordingly, the Pre-Open Session will be from 10 am to 11 am and Regular Trading will commence after the Open Auction at 11 am.

The market will close at 2.30 pm, stated Chief Regulatory Officer of CSE Renuke Wijeyawardhane issuing a circular with this regard.
