Coronavirus: Recoveries count from Navy reaches 332

Nineteen more Sri Lanka Navy personnel who had contracted the novel coronavirus have completely recovered from the illness, Sri Lanka Navy said in a statement.

Accordingly, a total of 332 coronavirus-positive navy men returned to health so far.

These naval personnel who were identified positive to coronavirus, had been admitted to hospitals for treatment. 

Out of these nineteen, 09 persons in Naval General Hospital, 07 persons in Mulleriyawa hospital, 02 persons in IDH hospital and 01 person in Homagama hospital, were discharged. 

Since, these sailors were negative to COVID-19 on the reports of random PCR tests done under treatment, they were discharged, the navy said.

These discharged naval personnel will be kept under quarantine for another 14 days in compliance with the healthcare regulations.

The total number of coronavirus cases reported in Sri Lanka currently stands at 1,182 following the detection of 41 new cases on Monday (25).

Meanwhile, 695 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospital upon complete recovery from the disease.

Sri Lanka has recorded 10 fatalities from the virus.
