A total of 66,662 have been arrested since March 20 for violating curfew orders, while 18,778 vehicles were seized.
Within the six-hour period ending at 4.00 am today (29), 143 curfew violators were taken into custody along with 35 vehicles.
The police said 22,591 cases have been filed against the arrested curfew violators while 9,067 were penalized for the offences committed.
Meanwhile, a total of 780 persons have been placed under arrest over violation of quarantine regulations since the island-wide curfew was relaxed on May 26.
According to the police, 168 have been apprehended between 4.00 pm and 10.00 pm yesterday (28).
These arrestees are being charged for non-adherence to maintaining social distance, wearing face masks and other health regulations.
