Three more COVID-19 patients bring tally to 1,566

Three more persons have tested positive for the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, raising the total count of cases reported in the country to 1,566.

With the three new cases, Sri Lanka has reported 08 fresh cases of COVID-19 infections within the day (30).

The number of actives cases currently under medical stands at 775, according to the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry.

In the meantime, 27 coronavirus patients were discharged from Colombo East Base Hospital, Navy Hospital, Minuwangoda Base Hospital, and Homagama Base Hospital earlier today, since they have recovered completely. This brought the recoveries tally to 781.

Sri Lanka reported its 10th COVID-19 death on May 25 as a 51-year-old woman who had arrived in the country from Kuwait succumbed to the disease.
