Twenty more recover from coronavirus

Twenty patients who had been receiving treatment for COVID-19 have been discharged upon complete recovery from the disease.

Accordingly, the total number of recoveries reported in Sri Lanka has hiked to 801 cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,620 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the country.

As per the Epidemiology Unit of the Health Ministry, 809 active cases are under medical care at selected hospitals across the island.

Sri Lanka reported its 10th COVID-19 death on May 25 as a 51-year-old woman who had arrived in the country from Kuwait succumbed to the disease.
