Temporary residents in Colombo and suburbs are requested to register at the nearest Police Station, states Senior DIG for Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon.

He mentioned this to the media following a raid carried out against an illicit liquor brewery in Dompe.

The Senior DIG said that all temporary residents who are not registered in the electoral register must register with the police in this manner.

Further, this program is implemented as it may also be of assistance to the national security, he said.
