COVID-19: Twelve more recoveries move count to 823

Twelve patients who had been receiving treatment for COVID-19 have been discharged upon complete recovery from the disease.

Accordingly, the total number of recoveries reported in Sri Lanka has hiked to 823 cases.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,643 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected in the country.

According to the Epidemiology Unit if the Health Ministry, 809 active cases of the coronavirus infection are currently under medical care at selected hospitals across the country.

Sri Lanka witnessed its 11th death from the coronavirus on Monday (June 01) as a 45-year-old male who had returned from Kuwait succumbed to the disease at the Homagama Hospital.
