Covid-19 cases total limbs to 1,647 in Sri Lanka

Two more patients have tested positive for Covid-19 increasing the total number of confirmed cases reported in the country to 1,647.

Four new cases have been identified so far today (02) with three of them navy personnel from Iranamadu and Kalpitiya quarantine centres.

The other patient is a close associate of a navy sailor and is also from Kalpitiya quarantine centre.

Accordingly a total of 813 patients infected with Covid-19 are currently being treated while 823 persons have recovered and have been discharged from hospital.

The death toll due to the virus outbreak in Sri Lanka is 11.
