EC to meet on Monday to set election date

The Election Commission of Sri Lanka is set to hold a special meeting on Monday (June 08), the Chairman of the Commission said.

Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya mentioned this at a press conference earlier this evening (03).

The meeting of the Commission members will decide on the date for the General Election 2020 to be held on.

Meanwhile, the health guidelines pertaining to holding the election were handed over to the Chairman of the Election Commission.
