COVID-19: Recoveries hit 891 as 33 more patients regain health

Thirty-three more COVID-19-infected patients under medical care were discharged from hospitals today (06) as they have recovered completely.

Accordingly, Sri Lanka’s recoveries count moved up to 891, the Ministry of Health said.

The new recoveries are reported from Infectious Disease Hospital (12), Welikanda Base Hospital (04), Colombo East Base Hospital (01), Homagama Base Hospital (07) and Minuwangoda Base Hospital (09).

In the meantime, coronavirus-positive cases confirmed in the country hiked to 1,801 on Friday (05).

The number of active coronavirus cases under medical care meanwhile stands at 899.

Eleven patients have died due to the COVID-19 outbreak in Sri Lanka.
